Programs
Estrella Junkyard Fitness offers individual and couples training sessions and training programs. Our training programs are 12 weeks (48 or 60 sessions) and can be conducted individually one-on-one or with a partner in our couples training (spouse, family member or friend). Estrella Junkyard Fitness starts all new clients with a free assessment after filling out the appropriate registration. All clients will have access to our online system to track workouts and progress. The following tabs explain the steps in our Program Development:
First, a free assessment will take approximately one hour on the first day of class. Starting levels of weight, body fat, blood pressure, intensity and athletic ability will be recorded.
Next, we will establish goals for the training period for the long-term. What physical activity have you always wanted to do but were unable? What sport would you like to master? Do your interests lie in mountain biking, or endurance races? Whatever the ambition, we will work for the reward of accomplishment.
Further, we will define the functional movements. They include:
- Bodyweight
SQUATS, burpees, lunges, pistols, pushups, pullups, rope climbing
- Metabolic Conditioning
Running, rowing, jumprope
- Gymnastics
Rings, handstands, L-sits
- Barbell Weightlifting
Front and back squats, overhead squat, deadlift, power clean, overhead presses, Clean & Jerk, thruster and the Snatch.
- Awkward Object Lifting (let’s get creative!)
Dumbells, tires, sledgehammers, medicine balls, kettlebells and sandbags
Finally, a customized program will be developed just for you. There will be three types of WOD’s each day; intro, intermediate and competitor. The day’s lesson and warm-up will be tailored for your specific WOD.
Estrella Junkyard Fitness Programs:
Designed for beginners, these WOD’s will introduce body weight movements. We will combine them with metabolic conditioning elements. Basic gymnastics and weightlifting will be taught, and included in a scaled version.
Building upon the introductory level, athletes in this program will have a foundation in all bodyweight, metabolic conditioning, gymnastics and weightlifting movements, however will need scaling and coaching to refine and master the elements.
Athletes in this program will have extensive knowledge of body weight, metabolic conditioning, gymnastics and weightlifting movements, and will used prescribed weight and techniques. WOD completion times will be similar to those posted on www.wodtogether.com and we will work toward a path for local, regional and national competitions! For those who have the ambition and fire, placing in a competition can be the driving force to even better results and a rewarding culmination of those long hours dedicated to your personal fitness goals.
